Q: What are the sessions like?
A: Each training session lasts about two hours. During this time you are reclined in a comfortable chair in a quiet, private room relaxing and focusing on certain visuals we will give you. Electrodes placed in certain positions on your scalp allow us to watch your brain activity while the software feeds tones back to you through earphones we provide.
Q: How long does it take to change my brainwave patterns?
A: This question varies on several different factors such as how imbalanced you are, your ability to relax and visualize, current medications you are taking and your brain’s response to the training. We like to start our clients with 10 sessions and most begin seeing results within that time. After these sessions we review your goals and how you feel, then you tell us if you wish to continue with more sessions.
Q: How long does the training last?
A: Once strong, correct brain patterns are established they should remain indefinitely. They can change back if you experience more emotional or physical trauma, but it is up to you to decide if you want to get more training. Often times we will address certain goals in our training, and then after the client has reached those goals they will want to begin on new ones.
Q: Has this technology been tested?
A: This technology has been used on over 4,000 clients worldwide. Client results from affiliate providers are constantly reviewed and analyzed to find better ways for us to enable certain areas of the brain to become more balanced and do it quicker. Clinical trials have not been completed, but are moving forward.
Q: Will my insurance cover the training
A: Most likely they will not. Since the process it is not medical, doctor prescribed treatment insurance companies do not recognize us a medical provider. Some insurance companies provide an alternative care benefit that may cover some of the charges, but you should contact them first to review your coverage.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: We are typically much less expensive and time consuming than other neurofeedback providers. This is due to our advanced technology and techniques. For pricing information please contact our office and a staff member will be happy to discuss your training possibilities.
Q:What things have clients reported that brain training has helped them with?
A: Addictive Dependencies (Alcohol, Drug, Gambling, Tobacco), Aging, Anger, Anxiety, Brain Injury, Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Pain, Compulsive Behaviors, Eating Disorders, Hyperactivity or loss of focus,
Hypertension, Inability to Focus, Lack of Energy, Lack of Concentration, Learning Difficulties, Obsessive Thinking, Panic Attacks, Poor Memory, Sleeping Difficulties, Stress, Unhappiness
Q: What are the risks of brain training?
A: Brain training is accomplished by using neurofeedback to show your brain what it looks like and encourage it to move to a more healthy state. Since it is your own brain making the changes, the risks are very minimal. The only complications that have been reported are a headache or trouble sleeping for the first few sessions. Prior to starting treatment sessions, we do need to know if you suffer from any type of seizure activity as certain protocols can encourage one to occur.
